3 September 1925 charter members and representatives from the Montréal Club met to form the Rotary Club of Malone.
 
21 November  1925 William J. Cairns, a former Governor of District 28, accompanied by a delegation of 50 people from Montréal, presented the charter to Rotary Club of Malone President Harry McEntyre, who accepted it saying: “In behalf of the Rotary Club of Malone I accept this charter and trust that our success in Rotary will measure up to the high standards of efficiency that now prevail in our neighboring Rotary Clubs.” President John Anderson of the Montréal Club also presented the gong, speaking of the great influence for peace of Rotary in international affairs. President McEntyre accepted the gong describing it as a call to service.
 
The club is part of District 7040, which is made up of Rotary clubs in Nunavut, Eastern Ontario, Western Québec and Northern New York State.
